CCSCE published the 2004 edition of California Economic Growth in late October.

This is the only report that contains historical information and projections comparing the nation to the state and its regions using the new North American Industry Classification System. New features for 2004 include:

  • New state and regional job projections
  • New detailed industry history and projections
  • New national population, job and occupational projections
  • New short-term economic outlook for 2004 and 2005
  • All history and projections using the North American Industry Classification System.

California Economic Growth-2004 Edition continues to offer the following features:

  • Individual chapters on the United States, California, and its five regions: Los Angeles Basin, San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, San Diego and San Joaquin Valley.
  • Projections of jobs, population, households, income and spending
  • Detailed analyses of each area's economic base

The objective of California Economic Growth remains the same as it has been for 25 years - to provide an in-depth and independent assessment of the world's sixth largest economy. Researchers, professors, students, and public officials with an interest in the California economy look to California Economic Growth for an explanation of current trends and issues and for projections of future growth.
